Windows on Wildlife Nature Photography Hides

As seen on BBC Countryfile

Windows on Wildlife is a small independent business owned and run by a husband and wife team, Dean and Stephanie Mason, both of whom are dedicated to offering a professional, personalised and friendly service.

Great care and consideration has been taken in the development of our wildlife photographic hide, offering you the photographer some excellent opportunities to capture the images you are looking for.

Dean, a renowned wildlife photographer himself and considered by many to be an expert in his craft, has spent the past few months totally devoted to this labour of love. The hide offers both seated and low level photographic opportunities to capture a variety of woodland birds and mammals within their natural habitat. There are three sides to the hide that all take advantage of the surroundings; these include a raised reflection pool, perches, posts and a low level woodland garden.

Being committed and sensitive to the needs of the wildlife has ensured that the natural inhabitants are always happy to visit our site on a regular basis.

Reflection Pool Hide

This is a 5 person timber constructed hide, fully lined and insulated for that extra bit of comfort during those cold days that occur way too often in the UK. It has a fully blacked out interior to eliminate movement from within the hide, giving less opportunity of spooking the wildlife and ensuring that you get the images you are hoping for.

Our hide is of multi purpose usage and you are not governed to just the one position during your visit, swapping photographic windows is allowed and encouraged.

The hide also offers an abundance of space for each individual to move around freely, including plenty of room for all your camera equipment and personal belongings.

Suitable for all levels of photographer, from seasoned professionals wishing to add to their ever increasing portfolios through to beginners learning the craft and in need of one to one tuition. Whatever your needs we can cater for all.

Tea and coffee making facilities are available within the hide.

Toilet facilities are available on site at the rear of the hide.

Situated on completely private land in rural Dorset and close to the Purbeck hills; therefore eliminating the risk of interruption from ramblers or uninvited passers by, and giving you the perfect opportunity not to miss that " One that got away " image !

The hide itself is just a short 3 minute walk after parking your vehicle, passing by the owners cottage and into an adjacent field. On wet and wintry days the field which is a little uneven can be quite muddy, so appropriate footwear and warm clothing is recommended for your comfort.

Within 3 miles is the historic Saxon walled town of Wareham which offers an excellent variety of pubs, restaurants, shops and hotels. Should you wish to visit further afield, Poole town centre is a mere 9 miles from the site and Swanage town centre 8 miles.
